MyJCI is a secure web Self-service portal used by Johnson Controls employees to view and manage their payroll and HR information. Each employee has their login information to an individual account. Through the MyJCI portal, employees can view their paystubs, request paid time off (PTO), and access important HR documents.

Johnson Controls self-service portal (ESS) provides a consistent, user-friendly Web portal for employees to make requests, manage requests, and track request status. On the back end, administrators in IT, HR, Finance, Operations, etc. should be able to create workflows and rules to automatically route requests based on a variety of factors, fulfill employee requests, and analyze performance.

What is MyJCI?

MyJCI is an online portal for Johnson Controls employees designed to help them organize their jobs. The MyJCI application allows employees to log in securely, receive email notifications about upcoming events, and request time off. Employees can also review their schedules for direct deposits and check their W2 documents and other benefits once they have been signed up to the app and are notified of questions and tasks related to their jobs using their mobile devices.

With over 102,000 employees, Johnson Controls has developed an online ESS portal to help employees access their work-related information. Johnson Controls Employee Portal is the central location where employees can log into their accounts and view the tasks they have to complete before starting their day. The portal aims to bridge the gap between employees and HR, making the administrative process automated and more accessible. MyJCI has various features that make it easy for all employees. These features include;

1: Direct contact with the human resource department. The portal allows employees to contact human resource management directly. For example, suppose you have a problem; you can receive help from the HR department using this web portal.

2: View daily tasks. myJCI portal permits employees to view their daily tasks. This makes work seamless.

3: Access overtime benefits. The web portal makes it easier for employees to record their overtime days, making it easy to process overtime payments. Also, it enables them to have a higher work performance.

4: Access Personal Account t data: The myJCI portal enables employees to view payroll information, Download paychecks and check payment information, view and update their holiday details, update their details like address, emergency contact details, and phone number, get new updates about enrollment, health insurance, reforms, and many others.

How Your Account is Protected

Johnson Controls International PLC has taken extra steps to ensure that your private health information remains confidential. Your records are safe from unauthorized access because myJCI portal is password-protected and information is delivered via an encrypted connection.

All communication between you and Johnson Controls using the myJCI portal is carried over a secure, encrypted connection. Encryption means the information is encoded in such a way that no one can read it during transmission. Also, your health records are stored behind a firewall to prohibit unauthorized access.

In addition, myJCI portal access requires a unique username and password assigned to you. myJCI portal is owned and operated by Johnson Controls and is fully compliant with federal and state laws pertaining to your privacy. Your name and email address will be kept private and confidential and never sold or released by Johnson Controls International PLC.

MyJCI Login With A Security Key

A security key is a physical device you can use instead of your username and password to sign in to the MyJCI login portal. It may be a USB key that you could keep on your keychain or an NFC device like a smartphone or access card. Since it’s used in addition to a fingerprint or PIN, even if someone has your security key, they won’t be able to sign in without your PIN or fingerprint.

Security keys are usually available for purchase from retailers that sell computer accessories.

Tip: You may sometimes hear security keys referred to as FIDO2 keys. FIDO stands for Fast IDentity Online and the standards are set and managed by the FIDO Alliance.

How to sign in with a security key

There are different types of security keys that you can use, like a USB key that you plug into your device or an NFC key that you tap on an NFC reader. Make sure to familiarize yourself with the type of security key you have by reading the instruction manual from the manufacturer.

To sign in with a security key, go to the MyJCI Login Login page and follow the “MyJCI Login With a Security Key” steps to sign in.

MyJCI Login With Email

The MyJCI login portal is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for employees. Each employee will be given their user account credentials through which all the administrative matters can be accessed and managed.

Those who have already gone through the process of registering for online account access can log in in just a few seconds by entering an Employee ID and password. Users who are having difficulty with the password may want to make a note that the account will become locked after five unsuccessful login attempts.

Note: For JCI Employees/Contingent workers please use GlobalID@jci.com, Others including Guests/Partners/Customers please use the company’s Full Email.

  1. To log in to the MyJCI portal, visit the MyJCI Login page
  2. Under the Sign In section, enter your registered member ID and full email address.
  3. Click on ‘Next.
  4. If you have already enrolled in the MyJCI portal or have logged in before, enter your account password set up for your account.
  5. For first-time users, enter your temporary password in the format of ‘JC + last four digits of your Social Security Number (SSN) + 8-digit date of birth details.
    For example Jc0000YYYYMMDD
  6. Click on ‘Login’ to access your employee account online.

However, if you have forgotten your MyJCI employee Portal Username/Password, you can reset your password or retrieve your User ID through the portal. If you feel that someone else is using your account, you need to reset your password immediately. Here’s how;

  • Go to the MyJCI portal and click on “Can’t access your account?
  • Click on this link and enter your Johnson Controls username or email ID.
  • Click ”Next”.
